Alejandra Macouzet: A Glimpse into Her World of Creativity
The Power of Creative Inspiration: Finding People Who Spark Joy
Sometimes I wonder what Google and the AI peeps think of my searches. What does the algorithm make of the sheer variety of people I follow daily? What’s her strategy? they wonder, scratching their heads.
Besides following incredible event industry professionals, my feed is also filled with illustrators, graphic designers, content creators, artists, and bakers— and that’s just who I follow on a Monday, haha. I’m constantly in awe of people’s creativity and always on the lookout for inspiration.
Cue in... Alejandra Macouzet.
An illustrator from Mexico now residing in Toronto, Canada, Alejandra’s work speaks for itself. Her designs? You be the judge. I think they’re adorably wholesome, colourful, and genuinely hers.
The Joy of Coloring: A Creative Escape for All Ages
Beyond illustration, Alejandra has also ventured into authorship, creating coloring books that bring her artistic vision to life. Her publications, all available on Amazon, include:
• Good Things: Positive Affirmations Coloring Book for Kids and Adults
• Jolly Things: Holiday Themed Coloring Book
• Sweet Things: Cute and Easy Coloring Book
• Spooky Things: Halloween Themed Coloring Book
If you haven’t picked up a coloring book since school, I highly recommend giving it another go.
One of the unexpected joys I’ve rediscovered—thanks to my daughter—is coloring. We sit together for arts and crafts, and as she colors, so do I. It reminded me how much I missed being creative outside of flowers. Children have a way of showing us what truly matters and how play is an essential part of life.

From Alejandra:
“I believe it is essential for everyone to connect with art from an early age, and it is equally important to maintain this connection as adults! Art can teach us how to navigate our emotions and express both negative and positive feelings in a proactive way.
Approaching art can be intimidating, especially if we haven't engaged with it since childhood. However, there's no need to take it too seriously. Coloring in the pages of a coloring book can serve as an act of active meditation, helping us relax, disconnect, and discover our creative selves. It can also be a challenging exercise to practice patience and let go of perfectionism. Don't hesitate—there is no right or wrong when it comes to creating art for fun!.”
How wonderful would it be to find our calling? To embrace our craft? To share it with the world unapologetically?
