When launching a business, especially one that revolves around carefully curated products, stocking up on a vast inventory isn’t always the best financial approach. As much as I’d love to have every beautiful product available at all times, a startup demands a more strategic method. But the perfectionist in me still wants to offer you everything I have access to. So, what’s the solution? Pre-orders.
Why Pre-Orders?
Over the years, I’ve come across some truly special brands and products—items I believe everyone should have access to. Instead of carrying large upfront inventory, I’ll be offering these under a Pre-Order category in the shop. This means you can shop at any time, but orders will be fulfilled once a month.
Here’s how it works:
Pre-orders are placed throughout the month.
On the 1st of each month, I will submit orders to my suppliers.
Products will then be shipped to you by the end of the month.
If you order on the 15th, for example, your item will arrive the following month after my next supplier order is placed.
This approach helps keep the business sustainable while ensuring I can offer a wide selection of thoughtfully chosen products without overstocking. Plus, it allows me to introduce new and exciting products every month, so there’s always something fresh to look forward to.
